CompEat Nutrition Pathway to Paralympics Grant | 2021 Grants

The CompEat Nutrition Pathway to Paralympics Grant is for aspiring Paralympians. This grant will help two potential future Paralympians with Olympic level performance support and the additional costs incurred.

The grants cover costs relating to new and upgraded equipment, to compete in an international competition in their sport, to access additional coaching support and to assist with travel costs (particularly where additional cost to travel with equipment or a carer/guide is required). The applicant will need to provide a written endorsement from their State or National federation.

CompEat Nutrition provide a customised nutrition platform which includes the individual 24/7 support and contact to a member of our team of accredited Performance Dietitians for a 12-month basis. The two grant recipients will also receive free access to the platform. CompEat Nutrition services professional sports organisations as the Westfield Matildas, Socceroos and NSW Waratahs.

"We are very excited to be supporting aspiring and future Paralympians through the first CompEat Nutrition Pathway to Paralympics Grant,” said Alicia Edge, Co Founder / Co CEO.

“Funds for the Grant originate from CompEatCon held in April last year, a global online summit that brought sports practitioners and athletes together in a time where many were struggling for purpose. As one of the first fully online conferences in the height of COVID-19 lockdowns, we were thrilled by both the response and generosity from all involved in the event. Thousands of dollars were raised within a 'pay what you can' ticket structure to help us fund much-needed support for athlete wellbeing.

“Not only will these two Grants provide funding for the development and training of the recipients, they will also gain full access to our CompEat Nutrition Platform - integrating nutrition support at the centre of their well-being and performance.”

Eligibility Criteria

Recipient must have achieved state or national representation in their sport, and state their plans or intentions to qualify for the next Paralympic or International competition
Registered with a Sporting Club or intends to use the funds join a Sporting Club
The applicant will need to provide a written endorsement from their State or National federation
Applications will close on Friday 24 September, 2021
Recipients will be notified on Friday 8 October 2021
Recipients will be announced on Friday 22 October 2021
Previous recipients will not be able to apply for 2021 grants
Funds are to be spent by 1 March 2022
All receipts and acquittals forms must be submitted
