At Sports Access Foundation, we were delighted with the diversity of and number of grant applicants.
We launched our inaugural grant in January 2017 and received 27 applications. Applications for 2017 closed on 30 April 2017.
Applicants for this round ranged in age from 6 – 17 and the challenges faced by these young athletes, from both rural and urban locations, are amazing. Autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy and usher syndrome are among of some of the conditions faced by these young people.
Reading their sporting goals, is inspirational and equally important are their achievements to date. We are excited to be announcing the recipients of the grants in the coming weeks.
