On Thursday 23rd November, Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children (RIDBC) officially launched its new purpose-built centre in Toowoomba, located at 137 Herries Street.

Philanthropist and local iconic hero from the region, Clive Berghofer and RIDBC Ambassador and Paralympian Katie Kelly were special guests at the launch event, as well as service professionals and some of the families we provide services to in the area. RIDBC President Sean Wareing and RIDBC Chief Executive Chris Rehn travelled from Sydney to be at the event.

RIDBC Clive Berghofer Centre service focuses on community relevance, integrated support options and ease of access within this brand new, purpose-built centre.

This Centre houses a multi-purpose room that includes a play area for children, a teleconference room, office space and facilities for staff, and a purpose-built sound booth designed to conduct hearing tests.
